Magento is an open-source e-commerce platform written in PHP and built on the Zend Framework.
It is cross-platform, supports different databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer), has a modular architecture with over 50 available modules that provide additional features to extend the functionality of core Magento.
The open-source license allows unlimited freedom to modify, use or distribute this software under the terms of the Affero GPL version 3 License agreement for the use of Magento software.
The most important reason for companies to prefer Magento Enterprise Edition is its technical support system. In which, they subscribe for certain packages that include priority access to phone/email helpdesk with experienced developers, installation services, and advanced training facilities.
There are currently over one million websites running the Magento software, with a growth rate of 20% per year. Many well-known brands have developed their sites on Magento and are satisfied with the results. Today, I am going to share a few of my inspirations related to Magento eCommerce web designs.
1. eBay Store Design by Creatuity – UK
This is an example of a well-blended web design that fits into eBay’s color scheme and color palette, as well as its logo. Creatuity has created a complete online store using the free marketplace theme to give this website its unique style, which has been used very well across all pages to represent eBay as much as possible.
In particular, they have done a good job of making sure the left menu appears as much as possible in line with other elements on each page, so it doesn’t look out of place. They have also given each category its page, rather than be a link in the left menu, with a great deal of additional information.
In addition, it has an excellent general structure which means people can find what they are looking for quickly and easily.
2. ESKM Store Design by Creatuity – UK
This is an example of a carefully considered web design that blends into the colors scheme and color palette of eskm’s branding while still having its unique style to add some interest to the website on each page.
It isn’t just enough to match brand colors; you have to carefully consider how your design will work with them too, or risk detracting attention away from them! The navigation bar has been integrated very well on every page to work with the header image.
The menu is clear, concise, and easy to use because it has been designed specifically for mobile devices. Creatuity has integrated its own style well in this example without becoming too confusing or difficult to read.
3. Lush Studio Designed Store
This eCommerce website uses lots of imagery to draw people in and give them an idea about what they are buying when looking around the website.
This kind of design draws you in but makes sure that there is plenty of white space so that important information isn’t lost or too crowded together, which could make it confusing for customers to find what they are looking for quickly.
It also ensures that navigation options are easily explained in the text next to each button – especially in mobile view, where buttons will be tapped or swiped to move around the site.
4. The Wellness Company – UK
This is an example of a website showing how to make your eCommerce website mobile-friendly because it has been designed for much smaller screens. Not only does this make the site easier to navigate on smaller screens, but it makes it easier to place orders as you can see what you are buying more clearly and quickly than if you had to tap through several menus like other websites.
This helps customers feel more confident in placing their order faster, which could lead them to purchase more products! In addition, they’ve done a good job of integrating design elements into their branding so that the theme becomes part of their overall style rather than just being something added on.
5. Jura Watches – Japan
This website uses lots of white space around images and text to draw people in and make them want to click on the page, leading to more conversions which is great for an eCommerce store like this one.
They also include a lot of additional information, such as product reviews next to each product title that gives people extra things they can read if they wish without feeling like it’s getting too busy or difficult to follow what is going on.
This makes the site much more engaging and encourages people to stay longer rather than looking at one item and leaving because there wasn’t anything else interesting about it.
For those new to Magento, you may wonder why it is even necessary for a business to have a website if they sell online or why a website is so important to maintain. Those working in a software development company or associated with website development may have noticed improvements made to the native Magento site. They include:
